Born in 1960, Panguaneta is an Italian family company at its third generation with its origin in Sabbioneta, now a UNESCO world heritage site.
Panguaneta was originally the name of a village located on blanks of the river Po. The river subsequently changed its course and swept away the village, so the founders moved towards Sabbioneta. Thanks to the determination of two young men, Giuliano Azzi and Antonio Tenca, company Panguaneta re-born as a factory in Sabbioneta in 1960.
Panguaneta converts a valuable raw material, poplar wood, into a plywood range offering innovative performance specifications.

Date of establishment of Mantova Companies' register. Panguaneta begins its activity with the manufacturing of poplar plywood.
Panguaneta grows in national trade addressing above all to the construction and furniture fields.
Expansion into German and Middle Eastern markets. New products: filmed panels and poplar chipboard panels. Investments in agricultural areas for the poplar cultivation.
Range expansion with automotive, furnishing and design products. Strong improvement of production areas. Opening trades on European markets. Birth of the agricultural farm "Rosa Anna & Rosa Luigia" focused to the cultivation and research of poplars for industrial supply.
Switching to the 2nd generation. Panguaneta consolidates its market leadership and develops business relationships with the most important industrial fields users. The supply chain is strengthened thanks to strategic collaborations with the main poplar Italian growers.
The challenges of globalisation. Expansion in extra-european countries. Growing of the "Green Path" and of the product and system certification procedure.
