Panguaneta on Xylon

“The wood-furniture supply chain must be able to rely on local raw materials deriving from sustainable sources, such as poplar groves”, Nicoletta Azzi, CEO of Panguaneta and president of Assopannelli, declares in an interview with Xylon.

A positive path that has encouraged the recovery of sustainable poplar cultivation, which cannot be damped by the current health emergency. Poplars offer a great advantage: absorbing the greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide) throughout the use and processing of the raw material up to the whole service life of the finished products.

It is necessary to ensure the continuity of this ethical approach to the poplar cultivation and seize all the opportunities to improve the activities, such as, for example, the use of satellites to monitor the growth status of the individual plots to optimize the planning of the cutting and the delivery to the factories.

The company’s competitiveness precisely relies on the supply of sustainable raw materials from controlled groves managed correctly and responsibly according to strict environmental, social and economic standards.
