Report GreenItaly 2020

“GreenItaly” is a research conducted every year by Symbola Foundation on the value of the Green Economy.

“GreenItaly” is an indispensable tool to understand numbers, areas and sectors of Italian green economy, but it is most of all essential to analyse and understand the leading role that Made in Italy can have in the international market focusing on sustainability.

The report 2020 mentions Panguaneta (sole Italian plywood producer) in the section dedicated to “The centrality of wood for a sustainable furniture” pointing out how Panguaneta “has focused on the development of products with low formaldehyde’s emission glues, engineering and starting the production of plywood panels which grant even lower emission levels”.

These achievements “confirm the effort of Panguaneta to manage its business with a view to innovation and viability”. It is also interesting to notice how the research is pointing out that Panguaneta “has drawn up its own “GHG Inventory”, according with the standard UNI EN ISO 14064, which has allowed the development of a critical analysis on its process and plant, identifying the possible improvement points, in order to reach the “Carbon Neutrality”.

“GreenItaly” is an indispensable tool to understand numbers, areas and sectors of Italian green economy, but it is most of all essential to analyse and understand the leading role that Made in Italy can have in the international market focusing on sustainability.

The report 2020 titled “A human-sized economy to face the future” analyses in detail some subjects in which Panguaneta has invested many of its own resources to make the company modern, innovative and above all in accordance with policies aimed at contrasting the climate change, promoting the circular economy, designing eco-friendly supply and distribution systems, protecting eco-systems and biodiversity, with the objective of an environment free of harmful substances.

Miriam Tenca – CEO Panguaneta: we will continue to invest on poplar plantations, giving life to the raw material, the fine heritage of the landscape of our Italian clones. The agricultural practices observed and forest management will continue to follow the principles of biodiversity, ensuring the respect and protection of the natural environment. Panguaneta products will continue to be developed to efficiently and advantageously replace other raw materials whose use has greater critical impact on the environment. In these uncertain times we have chosen to invest by looking ahead, to a world that must be able to grow in a sustainable way.
