The targets of Panguaneta are in line with the World Economic Forum

The 50th edition of the World Economic Forum held Davos in the Swiss Alps has just ended.

The main issues discussed included the climate crisis and the importance of sustainability. The concept of a new "stakeholder capitalism" was also introduced, according to which companies must actively contribute to a "more cohesive and sustainable" world, as stated by Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the forum: a model which assigns private companies a key role since they act as guardians of the social and environmental challenges to be faced in our present day.

The role of technological progress and the exploitation of new technologies for global objectives were also considered. During the World Economic Forum, Economists and analysts highlighted that 70% of the development goals indicated by the 2030 United Nations agenda can be achieved thanks to the technologies already used by companies.

In this scenario, the company plays a crucial role. In fact, thanks to the FSC® forest management certification, which promotes the responsible management of forests, Panguaneta grants and enhances the continuity of the benefits from its forestry activities, partially fulfilling goal no. 15 of the Agenda “Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems"; moreover, the supply chain certification ensures the sustainability of the raw material produced and the transparency of the value chain as required by goal no. 12 "Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns". With reference to goal no. 17 “Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development", Panguaneta has established a partnership with the Parco Oglio Sud regional park within the Ecopay Connect project, a positive guarantee for the quality assurance of the projects developed from an environmental, economic and social point of view.
