The meeting was an interesting opportunity to discover the reality of Panguaneta, its history, its commitment to sustainability and to the enhancement of the territory, its projects, and its goals for the future. The event also represented an important opportunity for discussion with institutions on some key issues for the poplar sector, for the plywood industry and for the entire wood supply chain. The correct application of EU Regulation 2023/115 for a real fight against deforestation, the recognition of the role of poplar cultivation and wood-based products in the storage of CO2, the need to standardize sustainability reporting tools to combat greenwashing practices were some of the strategic points discussed during the debate.
Nicoletta Azzi, CEO Panguaneta: "We are aware that today's world requires a new business model, we know that we are facing a new industrial revolution, in which the assessment of our impact on resources and on the environment becomes a priority. This is reflected in industrial choices and business developments, and it is precisely in this perspective that Panguaneta has set the ambitious goal of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2025".
The event, which ended with a convivial networking moment, gave the numerous participants a precious occasion of knowledge, analysis, and dialogue between producers and institutions.
